3D printing technology material
Shenzhen Qihang Electronics Co.,Ltd | Updated: Oct 18, 2018

In recent years, with the rapid development of 3D printing technology, its application range in aerospace, automotive, biomedical and construction fields has been gradually expanded, and its advantages such as convenience and high material utilization rate have been continuously revealed.

At present, metal 3D printing technology mainly includes selective laser sintering (SLS), electron beam melting (EBM), selective laser melting (SLM) and laser near net forming (LENS), among which selective laser melting is a research hotspot. A variety of metal powders can be melted using a high energy laser source. Metal powders used in metal 3D printers at home and abroad generally include: tool steel, martensitic steel, stainless steel, pure titanium and titanium alloys, aluminum alloys, nickel-based alloys, copper-based alloys, cobalt-chromium alloys, and the like. Commonly used powders are titanium powder, aluminum alloy powder and stainless steel powder.

When starting a new 3D printing project, you must carefully select the 3D printed material. In fact, the mechanical properties of the material must fully meet the needs of the project. Choosing the right material is a decisive step. Here's how to choose the right resin material for the 3D printing model.

Prototype acrylate

The prototype acrylate is manufactured using CLIP (DLS) technology. Prototyping with resin 3D printing is not the most cost-effective method. However, some projects may require the use of this material during the development process.
