3D Printed Mars Habitat

A Dutch company released the immigration plan “Mars One”, and Tesla’s president plans to send 100 people to Mars. In this landing contest, how can the US government be reduced? Last year, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launched the third phase of the "3D Printing Habitat Centennial Challenge." Recently, after a long period of selection, NASA finally announced five habitat designs for Martian immigrants.

First 


The first-placed Zorpheus team, designed to include a lander, the immigrants were able to take local materials, make concrete from the rocks on the surface of Mars, and create habitats inside the lander.

Second


The second-placed design team was designed with a cylindrical building that looked like a vertical vase from the outside and had multiple layers of space inside to withstand the harsh environment of Mars. Each floor space is connected by stairs.

Third


The third-placed habitat model has many holes on its surface that allow natural light to enter the interior of the building through a high-strength plastic casing.
